Snowshoeing and Husky
The aim of this three-hour snowshoe trek is to have a close-up experience of the silent Arctic nature.
Trek along the Alta River
On our three-hour trip, Snowshoeing and Husky, we set off from our HQ in Øvre Alta. We explore the pine forest along the banks of the Alta River and are sure to experience the tracks of wild animals, including moose, hares and foxes.
We will see how the landscape was formed by the ice that covered the entire region 10,000 years ago. Your guide will tell you about Alta in general and the Alta River in particular.
We take a nice break to light an open fire. We brew tea, coffee or hot chocolate and serve some snacks.
Snowshoeing is a fun and easy activity and is a great way to explore the snow-covered Arctic landscape. No previous experience is necessary.
Huskies
We will be joined by one of our Alaskan Huskies – they will help pull or carry the gear as well as providing nice company.
Extra warm clothes
The use of extra clothes, warm boots, mittens and woollen hats is included (if needed).
