GLØD wishes to contribute to a sustainable outdoors life so that the nature will last and also provide pleasure for future generations.

We express this, for instance, by preferring sled dogs or horses when the transportation of equipment is called for. When nothing but motorised aids can be used, we show extreme care.

An important key word for us is “transport without a trace”. This means in practice that we do not leave anything behind, and we strongly oppose littering and vandalism of the nature. Our camp sites are regularly moved to avoid unnecessary stress on the flora and fauna.

GLØD encourages our guests to harvest from nature, but to also show moderation when taking fish or game. At GLØD, we don’t measure nature-based adventures only in terms of numbers and kilos.
